Tordess is the world's first cryptocurrency prop-trading platform, designed to empower retail traders in the volatile crypto market.
It offers funded trader programs that allow skilled individuals to access substantial trading capital with minimal personal risk. Traders can retain up to 90% of their profits while Tordess covers potential losses.
Project Overview
Client: Tordess.
Timeline: Around 10 days to design the initial UIs and continuing
Team Size: Solo.
Role: UI/UX, 3D Icons & Illustration Design.
Current design problems

The current design of Tordess faced several challenges that hindered user experience and platform efficiency:
Cluttered interface with excessive information, overwhelming users and making navigation difficult
Icons and visuals that failed to engage users effectively or guide their attention to key features
Complex user flows that increased the learning curve for new traders and slowed down experienced users
Limited visual hierarchy, making it challenging for users to prioritize information and actions
Outdated aesthetics that didn't reflect the innovative nature of the crypto trading industry
These issues collectively contributed to user frustration, longer onboarding times, and worse trading experiences.
Redesign Goals
The redesign goals for Tordess focused on enhancing the overall user experience and engagement through several key objectives:
Design a brand new 3D icon system and a new design language to create a modern and aesthetic interface.
Simplify complex trading functionalities to encourage active participation and retention.
Optimize the flow from onboarding to executing trades, making it intuitive for all users.
Ensure a cohesive experience between desktop and mobile interfaces.
Redesign the landing page with a new visual that catches the design trends.
These goals aimed to differentiate Tordess in the competitive crypto trading market by prioritizing user-centric design and visual appeal.
Redesign Process
The redesign process for Tordess involved several key steps aimed at enhancing user experience and engagement on the platform:
First, I do an assessment of the current design. I conducted a thorough evaluation of the existing interface, identifying pain points such as cluttered navigation, outdated visuals, and inconsistent design elements.
The second stage is defining the objective. Clear goals were established for the redesign, including improving visual appeal through 3D icons, streamlining user flows, and enhancing overall usability.
The third stage is design and prototyping. Because of the intensive working timeline, I've reduced the steps to deliver the UI to engineers. By inheriting and optimizing the current design flows, the working speed increased significantly but still kept the high quality in UI and UX.
In the fourth stage, internal and user usability testing was conducted to improve and fix the flaws in the design and flows.
By delivering the initial interface designs, I continue working with the team to implement the new design system and visual to the rest of the platform.

3D Icons and Illustrations.
The platform has transitioned from 2D to 3D icons, creating a modern visual identity that enhances user interaction and understanding.
The 3D assets was created and rendered in Blender.

New Landing Page Design
New landing page design shipped the new design language and visual materials. Also improved the information structure to help new user better understanding the platform.

Create Account and Login Flows
The create account flow has been redesigned to improve the information structure but still keep the current back-end to reduce the engineers' workload.
